Twilight
comes to Vyšehrad, a rocky
promontory over the River Vltava, where Prague may have been founded in
the legendary past. Today, somewhat like Mont
Royal, the beautiful hill
overlooking
Montréal, Vyšehrad is largely a park, also
containing a church
and cemetery complex. Although Vyšehrad
exudes a deeper sense
of history than Mont-Royal, many of the buildings there, like the
Church of SS Peter and Paul that can be seen in the picture above, were
built or rebuilt in the 19th century.
