The
Robert N. Noyce Science Building is where Grinnell's science majors
spend a lot of their time. Needless to say, that means I am not very
familiar with this building. In fact, non-science majors like me were
often liable to get lost in the winding corridors of this labyrinthine
structure, where the science students came up with papers whose titles
(let alone their contents) were far above my level of comprehension. Mā shā' Allāh.
I did have four classes in this building over my years at Grinnell,
though, and my knowledge of the building got a further boost when my
friend Yasir Mehboob and I developed a habit of going there to visit
our friend Asif Imran, who had virtually taken over one of the rooms in
the building for his study.
